Glenbard East Theater presented their winter comedy, “The Foreigner”, this past week.

The play follows an Englishman named Charlie who comes to stay at a fishing lodge in southern Georgia and finds himself overwhelmed at the idea of having to talk to the other guests. In an effort to save himself from unnecessary conversation, Charlie pretends he comes from a foreign land and can’t speak English.

As a result, Charlie witnesses some startling confessions and uncovers a devious plot. Hilarity ensues as Charlie attempts to foil the plot and save his new friends.

The cast includes Tony Maggio, Maisie Eckley, Reed Brooks, Fiona Bilkey, Grace Iovinelli, Sebastian Duque, and Mickey O’Brien, and is directed by Mark Kaetzer. Mackenna Clayton is assistant director and stage manager. Technical crews are headed by Abeline Glenzinski, Shelby Jenkins, Madeline Pierson, Alison Moro, Katie Pruyn, Gia Dagenhart, Angelo Mendez, Audrey Dahlman and Maccoy Hartweg.

Sad you missed this show? Don’t fret, GE Theater’s next performances of “The Shining” and “Land O’Plenty” are on March 19th & 20th!
